PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device and a radio communication method by which an interference amount to be applied to other radio communication devices is made within the allowable range of interference and the communication area of the present radio communication device can be formed in the maximum wide range. SOLUTION: The radio communication device is provided with a distance attenuation coefficient estimation means for estimating the distance attenuation coefficient of the other radio communication device on the basis of interference waves from the other radio communication device, a communication area estimation means for estimating the communication area of the other radio communication device on the basis of the distance attenuation coefficient, and a transmission power calculation means for obtaining the transmission power of the radio communication device on the basis of the communication area of the other radio communication device.
