PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel which can surely reduce a resistance added to a line through a line guide, even when the line is floated in a state expanded from a spool on the release of the line. SOLUTION: The spinning reel (1) is provided with: a reel main body (2) having right and left side plates (5A, 6A); a spool (9) rotatably supported between the side plates (5A, 6A) of the reel main body (2) through a spool shaft (12) and on which a line (10) is wound up; and a line guide body (29) disposed between the side plates (5A, 6A) of the reel main body (2) in front of the spool (9). The line guide body (29) has a line guide (38) which is reciprocated in parallel to the spool shaft (12) in interlock with the operation of a handle in a direction for winding up the line (10) and through which the line passes, characterized in that the line guide (38) has a lower guide face (38b) for guiding the line (10) from the lower direction, and the lower guide face (38b) includes an inclined face (41) downward inclined in the direction for drawing out the line (10).
