PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating plate for permanent waves which is capable of effectively applying heat to the root part of the hair. SOLUTION: The heating plate 1 to be used in permanent wave treatment for making the hair wavy is configured such that a holding plate 10 which is a body is flexible, and the shape of the holding plate 10 is held in a bent state by the plastic force of a wire member 30 provided on the holding plate 10. Further, the holding plate 10 holds a heating element, a current is supplied from an external power source to the heating element through an energizing cord 40, and the heating element generates heat. By such a heating plate 1, the hair wound around a rod 100 for the permanent waves is held from the outer side and the heat is applied. That is, the heat is effectively applied to the root part of the hair wound around the outer side of the rod for the permanent waves and the root part is surely made wavy.
