An armature comprises six divided elements (21A-21F) which are arranged in a generally annular shape. Each divided element comprises a first teeth and a second teeth which are adjacent to each other, insulators which cover the teeth, respectively, and coils formed by wrapping a conductor (2131) around the teeth, respectively. The conductor (2131) is wrapped around the first teeth counterclockwise to form the first coil (213a), and wrapped around the second teeth clockwise continuously from the first coil (213a) to form the second coil (213b). One end part (2132) of the conductor (2131) is drawn upward, and the other end part (2133) is drawn downward. By this constitution, the working efficiency of assembling the armature is improved since the upper and lower sides of each of the divided elements (21A-21F) do not need to be distinguished during the assembling of the armature.
