<p>A variable valve apparatus of an engine is provided to prevent the friction between the cylinder head and the rocker arm and to simplify the structure. A variable valve apparatus of an engine comprises a rocker shaft(2), a first rocker arm(4), a second rocker arm(5), a shifting unit(6), a concave member(42b), and first and second arms(40,52). The first rocker arm delivers the displacement of a first cam to the valve. The first rocker arm holds the axial movement of the rocker shaft because the inner wall of the concave member contacts the top of the valve. The second rocker arm holds the axial movement of the rocker shaft because the second arm contacts the first rocker arm. The second rocker arm delivers the displacement of a second cam to the valve. The second rocker arm is coupled with the first rocker arm.</p> |
