A mobile communication terminal, a mobile communication system, a base station and a communication method are provided to reduce power consumption by enabling the transmission of downlink quality information and an uplink pilot signal at the same time or at continuous times. A mobile communication terminal measures the quality of a downlink circuit line, transmits the downlink quality information and an uplink pilot signal to a base station. The mobile communication terminal includes a wireless transceiver(212), and the wireless transceiver transmits the downlink quality information and the uplink pilot signal as a carrier frequency. The base station includes a channel estimator, and performs the estimation for a channel used in the transmission of the downlink quality information by using the uplink pilot signal as a reference channel.
