The tool (1) has a cylindrical supporting spindle (2) and a set of blades (3) with radial cutting edges. Two covers (8, 9) are respectively fixed to bases of the spindle to reinforce the fixing of the blades (3). Each blade is made of tungsten carbide, high speed or high resistance steel, diamond, ceramics or cermet. Each blade has a rectilinear base (4) inserted into a slot (5) that comprises shape same as that of the base. An independent claim is also included for a method for making a rotary carbide cutting tool. |
