A recording medium accumulating device comprises at least two endless belts (202-204) and a cylindroid roller (201) for winding up the recording medium. The external surfaces of the cylindroid roller (201) contact with those of the endless belts (202-204) respectively. A closed medium-feeding passage (213,216,219) is formed between the contacting surfaces. A medium-entering passage (220) and a medium-discharging passage (223) of the recording medium are formed between two adjacent endless belts (202-204) respectively. The medium-entering passage (220) and the medium-discharging passage (223) connect with the medium-feeding passage (213,216,219). The medium-feeding passage (213, 216, 219) drives the recording medium to rotate with the cylindroid roller (201) by a friction force of the contacting surfaces, so as to accumulate the recording medium. The present invention also discloses a recording medium accumulating method. The present invention conveys and accommodates the recording medium by the friction force of a belt surface, so as to accumulate more than one pieces of the recording medium. |
