PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of a control based on a temperature near an actual motor temperature. SOLUTION: This electric power steering device 10 comprises an elapsed time calculation part 103 calculating an elapsed time since an ignition switch 40 is turned on, an atmosphere temperature estimation part 105 estimating an atmosphere temperature around a motor 20 based on the elapsed time, a non-load temperature estimation part 104 estimating a non-load temperature when a load is not applied to the motor 20 during the elapsed time, a constant calculation part 106 calculating a filter constant for calculating the temperature of the motor 20, a motor temperature estimation part 107 estimating the temperature of the motor 20 corresponding to a current value based on the calculated filter constant, a current value of the current flowing in the motor 20 and a non-load temperature of the motor 20, and an assist torque calculation part 102 controlling the current flown to the motor 20 based on the estimated temperature.
