PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of positively guiding to the setting of a zoom position adapted for photographing. SOLUTION: A display section 114 displays a zoom bar B being an index of the zoom position and an icon P1 for denoting the current zoom position. The display section 114 may display the zoom bar B in yellow in order to indicate the fact that the position of the present zoom lens 12 is not a position optimum to macro photographing. Further, the display section 114 displays an icon P2 for denoting an optimum zoom position and an icon A for urging zooming operations of the movement of the current zoom position up to the optimum zoom position.
