A panorama image generator, a method thereof, an object tracking apparatus using the same and a method thereof are provided to minimize the noise and accurately extract an object by averaging the difference between a photographed image and a background image and the difference between neighboring images following an input image. A panorama image generator(100) comprises an area motion vector estimating unit(110), a frame motion vector determining unit(120) and a motion parameter output unit(130). The area motion vector estimating unit detects the first pixel, which is minimum in the difference from the second pixel which is selected in the second lower area set up at the same position as that of the first lower area of the second image frame which the first image frame, and then estimate the area motion vector of the first lower area by coordinates of the first and second pixels.
