<p>The safety sensor (10) has a safety output (18), a sensor unit, two position determining units (12,14) and an evaluation unit (16). The sensor unit generates a time-dependent position signal. The position determining unit generates another time-dependent position signal. The evaluation unit releases a decelerating signal. The evaluation unit is designed to allocate the two position signals to a value for the position, path or the speed in safe manner. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a mobile device, particularly autonomous vehicle with an edge; and (2) a method for contact less measurement of positions, paths or speeds.</p> |
