PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer sheet which imparts a reliable protecting performance to the surface of an image formed on an image receiving medium by a thermal transfer process. SOLUTION: This thermal transfer sheet is for transferring a protecting layer to the surface of the image formed on the image receiving medium by the thermal transfer process. In addition the thermal transfer sheet is characterized in that it has the thermally transferable protecting layer containing an inorganic layered compound, formed on a substrate. |
