VARIABLE-LENGTH STEERING SPINDLE

The length changeable steering spindle comprises an outer sleeve shaped profile (1) with cross section diverging from the circular form. Rolling elements are arranged in recesses of a slide bush. The rolling elements have profiles on the side of slide bush, which are longitudinally slidable opposite the slide bush in assembled condition. The rolling elements protrude out of slide bush in unloaded condition and are prestressed in assembled condition of a steering shaft against a surface. The surface forms a bearing surface of longitudinally sliding profile against slide bush.
