<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial blood vessel which can be manufactured at a low cost without going through complicated processes, and is excellent in elasticity and stretchability included in necessary conditions as a blood vessel substitute. <P>SOLUTION: Into a tubular body 1 made of a fiber, a bar-like body 2 which is constituted of a metal having conductivity is inserted. After the tubular body 1 into which the bar-like body 2 has been inserted is immersed in a gel-like substance 3 which is formed by adding a solvent in a thermoplastic material for a specified period of time, the tubular body 1 is taken out, and the gel-like substance 3 which has permeated the tubular body 1 is dried for a specified period of time. Then, the gel-like substance 3 adhering to the peripheral surface of the bar-like body 2 is temporarily molten by applying an electric current to the bar-like body 2, and after the gel-like substance 3 is dried again, the bar-like body 2 is pulled out from the tubular body 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
