<p>The method involves assigning a transponder to a product e.g. garment, and storing a clear, transponder-specific identifier (ID), which includes a safety unit e.g. check digit, on the transponder. A marking (F) is assigned to the identifier in a set or deleted condition, where a read access is permitted on the identifier by a reader only after an authentication (A) during the set condition of the marking. A binary variable is set as the marking, where the marking is set in a non-reprogrammable memory region and/or is secured against overwriting in accordance to a set hardware technique. An independent claim is also included for a transponder for the falsification safety for a product.</p> |
