An electric car for a driver's license test and a driving practice, and a control method thereof are provided to prevent air pollution and to reduce a cost by only using an electric power. A motor(101) generates a rotation driving force for driving a vehicle. A power transmission(102) delivers the rotation driving force generated by the motor to a vehicle wheel. A main power source(103) supplies a voltage to the motor. A main switch(104) controls voltage supply from the main power source to the motor. A key switch(105) controls supply of an operation voltage supplied to the main switch. A start switch(106) idles the motor. A sub power source(107) supplies an operation voltage of an electric device and various switches. A controller(108) drives the motor according to the start switch.
