An infant seat 1 to be used on the seat of of seated adult 8, comprises a seat member 2 to support the weight of an infant; a base member 4 which, in use, is positioned under the legs of a seated adult; and a support member 3, wherein the support member 3 is connected to the seat member 2 and the base member 4 and, in use, extends between the legs of the seated adult such that the seat member 2 is located above the legs of the seated adult. Thus the infant is seated in substantially the same position as if it were seated on the legs of the adult. The support member may be adjustable to suit the size of the adult. The seat may also comprise a separate restraint for the infant which is compatible with that of the adult. The seat is useful for travel. |
