摘要	<p>A method and an apparatus for compensating an error in an image display system are provided to compensate an error of similar previous frame data generated from previous frame compression data, thereby efficiently reducing errors occurring during data compression and restoration processes. An error value(DeltaC) occurring in compression and restoration processes of current frame data is generated. An error value(DeltaP) occurring during compression and restoration processes of previous frame data is generated(S503). Current frame restoration data is subtracted from the current frame data. Similar previous frame data is generated by adding previous frame restoration data to the subtracted result(S504). An error correction value(alpha) is generated based on correlation of the error value(DeltaC) and the error value(DeltaP)(S505).</p>
