The device has tool inserts (1, 1') for forming a cavity to receive plastic melt in a mold clamped between a movable mold clamping platen (3) and a fixed mold clamping platen (4). A transporting device (5) lifts, rotates, pivots or translatorily moves the inserts from an area of the mold, where each insert has an integrated heating element (6) arranged outside of the platens. The transporting device is formed as an index plate drive or lifting and rotating mechanism, and the heating element is formed as an inductive heater e.g. coil, combustion heater and resistance heater e.g. heating wire. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an injection molding part in an injection molding machine.
