A receiving method of an electronic program guide and a broadcasting signal receiver using the location information of a user are provided to obtain other program information easily according to the location of the user. A receiver(110) receives receivable broadcast signal according to a plurality of broadcasting forms. A network interface unit(150) receives program information and user information about the broadcast signal from network. A controller(130) sets up the location information included in the user information as the broadcasting area about the broadcast signal. A signal input part(140) receives the control signal requesting the program information. A display unit(170) displays the program information according to control signal.
