[PROBLEMS]To provide an absorbent article that at wear, excels in capability of following the movement of the body, especially the body movement such as that causing a torsional deformation of absorbent article and can be well fitted to the body to thereby attain assured prevention of leakage.[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS]There is provided absorbent article (1) comprising liquid-permeable surface sheet (3) and backside sheet (2) and, interposed therebetween, absorbent member (4), wherein the absorbent member (4) consists of a pair of absorbent elements (4A,4B) disposed right and left along approximately the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article (1), and wherein the absorbent element(4B) on the one side assumes a planar configuration bent in < shape in plan viewing while the absorbent element(4A) on the other side assumes a planar configuration bent in inverted < shape in plan viewing, these arranged so as to have intersection area (8) in a region including at least the site corresponding to the bleeding port area (H) of the wearer. |
