A meter device having a display plate which has a variable display section and also having an indicator needle which moves on the front surface side of the display plate. The meter device has good response and vibration resistant characteristics achieved without making the shape of members complex. The meter device is constructed from a guide rail (22) which is mounted on the display plate (21) so as to surround the variable display section (21b) or so as to be located in front of the variable display section (21b) and which has the indicator needle (23) provided to the guide rail (22), a holding section (24) which holds the indicator needle (23) so as to be movable along the guide rail (22), first and second indicator needle-side magnets (24c, 24d) arranged on the holding section (24), and first and second drive-side magnets (25a, 25b) which are arranged on indicator needle drive means (25, 26) so as to face the first and second indicator needle-side magnets (24c, 24d). The indicator needle (23) is moved by attraction force of the first and second indicator needle-side magnets (24c, 24d) and the first and second drive-side magnets (25a, 25b) in association with rotational drive of the indicator needle drive means (25, 26).
