A motor to which a disc having a mounting hole is removably mounted. The motor has a rotating body rotating about the center axis of the motor, a bearing mechanism for rotatably supporting the rotating body, and a stationary body for holding the bearing mechanism. The rotating body includes a hub and an annular attracting magnet. The hub rotates about the center axis and has a center circular tube section radially opposed to the inner surface of the mounting hole, a lid radially extending from the center circular tube section, and a circular tube section extending axially downward from the outer peripheral edge of the lid. The attracting magnet magnetically attracts the disc, is provided to a portion located radially outward from the center circular tube section so as to be separated from the outer surface of the center circular tube section, and is directly or indirectly secured to the lid. A mounting section for allowing the disc to be placed thereon is provided to that surface of the attracting magnet which faces the lower surface of the disc.
