AN IPV6 SESSION LIVENESS DETECTION METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM

An IPv6 session liveness detection method, apparatus and system include: an access network side device supporting proxy ND function intercommunicates with a UE, in order to implement the IPv6 session liveness detection between the access network side device supporting proxy ND function and the UE. The access network side device supporting proxy ND function acts as the agent of the destination node and is used for intercommunicating with the source node. The destination node includes the node at that the access network side device supporting proxy ND function locates. The source node includes the node at that the UE or the access network side device supporting proxy ND function locates. The access network side device supports the proxy ND function, and the IPv6 ND procedure acting as IPv6 session liveness detection mechanism supports the IPv6 session liveness detection in the scheme of this invention.
