PROCESS FOR PRODUCING LIGHT-MODULATING FILM AND LIGHT-MODULATING FILM

A process for producing a light-modulating film composed of two transparent resin bases and, sandwiched therebetween, a light-modulating layer formed from a light-modulating material comprising: a polymeric medium for forming a resin matrix; and a light-modulating suspension. The process for light-modulating film production comprises the following steps (a) to (c). Using this process, a light-modulating film can be obtained which has an even appearance throughout and excellent adhesion between the light-modulating layer and each transparent resin base. (a) A step in which the light-modulating material is applied to one of the transparent resin bases (first transparent resin base); (b) a step in which the other transparent resin base (second transparent resin base) is applied to the light-modulating material applied; and (c) a step in which the light-modulating material sandwiched between the first transparent resin base and the second transparent resin base is irradiated with an actinic radiation to cure the resin-matrix-forming polymeric medium contained in the light-modulating material and thereby form a light-modulating layer and obtain a light-modulating film.
