METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SOFTWARE LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT IN HOME NETWORK

A control point needs to be able to change the status of software installed on a controlled device in an efficient way, depending on given situations.  Therefore, a mechanism is required whereby the control point should manage the software lifecycle of the controlled device depending on particular conditions.  In an embodiment, a control point generates a message requesting that the software lifecycle should be managed under predetermined conditions, and sends the generated message to the controlled device.
