The method involves defining pre-processing zones of a three-dimensional model (10) of a part i.e. diesel cylinder head, where each zone is associated to a dimensioning parameter and a boundary condition parameter. Dimensions of the three-dimensional model are adjusted by allocating a value for the dimensioning parameter of the zone. Boundary conditions are applied by allocating a value to the boundary condition parameter of the zone. An independent claim is also included for a computer readable data medium comprising program code instructions for implementing a method for adjusting dimensions of a three-dimensional model.
