A combination of a bolt and a nut with an anti-loosening mechanism in which the bolt (20) includes, at an end thereof, a portion (30) which is foldable around an axis extending in a direction orthogonal to the axis of the bolt. The end portion (30) folds toward opposite sides, centering a direction extending along the bolt axis. Formed on an end surface of the nut (12) or a knob (18) (a surface on the side from which the end portion (30) of the bolt comes out when the bolt and nut are tightened together), are a plurality of trenches (18a - 18g) for accepting the folded portion (30) of the bolt. There are an odd number of the trenches, and they are formed radially from a center of a screw hole at an equiangular interval. Seven trenches, for example, are formed radially at an equiangular interval. In this case, an angle formed between two of the trenches is approximately 51.4 degree, and that is supposed to be an angular resolution by which loosening can be prevented. However, according to the above combination of the bolt and nut, a half of the above resolution (that is, 25.7 degree) can be realized.
|
