An information processing apparatus of the invention includes an SSD. The SSD includes non-volatile semiconductor memories which have a plurality of storage areas capable of writing information and reading information, and a control unit as a memory controller which writes exteriorly stored storage states of the non-volatile semiconductor memories into the non-volatile semiconductor memories, and reactivates a non-volatile semiconductor memory drive in a state of storing the written storage states when any problem occurs in writing information and in reading information to and from the non-volatile semiconductor memories.
