[PROBLEMS] To propose a three-dimensional gather structure in an absorbing article having three-dimensional gathers respectively in both lateral parts on the upper side, the three-dimensional gather structure enabling the absorbent to have a wide effective absorption area on the rear side of the absorbing article and being easily produced. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A sanitary napkin (1A) is provided which comprises a liquid-permeable upper sheet (3), a liquid-impermeable lower sheet (2), and an absorbent (4) interposed therebetween and in which the absorbent is enlarged so that the absorbent width on the back end side is larger than the absorbent width in the crotch part, the sanitary napkin (1A) having three-dimensional gathers (BS) respectively in both lateral parts on the upper side. Each three-dimensional gather (BS) has one or more turnovers in an area on the back side of an area around a body-fluid discharge part (H). In this sanitary napkin (1A), the distance (B2) between the three-dimensional gathers (BS and BS) in an area on the back end side is longer than in the body-fluid discharge part (H). |
