In certain embodiments, the invention relates to methods for producing a pharmaceutical pancreatic enzyme composition. In additional embodiments, the invention relates to detecting infectious porcine parvovirus (PPV) and determining PPV content in pancreatic enzyme preparations (PEPs), including pancrelipase preparations.
