发明名称 Improvements in or relating to hardened lead alloys particularly adapted for use in bearings
摘要
525.375. Alloys. NATIONAL LEAD CO. Feb. 20, 1939, Nos. 5592 and 5593. Convention dates, Aug. 10, 1938, and Aug. 15, 1938. [Class 82 (i)] A lead alloy, particularly for bearings, contains 0.11 - 2 per cent. of calcium, 0.5 - 10 per cent. of tin, and 0.5 - 5 per cent. of cadmium, with or without 0.1 - per cent. of mercury, 0.02 - 0.15 per cent. of aluminium, 0.5 - 2 per cent. of silver, 0.02 - 0.1 per cent. of barium, 0.02 - 0.5 per cent. of strontium, 0.05 - 1 per cent. of copper, 0.05 - 0.5 per cent. of manganese, and 0.01 - 0.15 per cent. of magnesium. The alloy may be made by adding to molten lead under a flux an aluminium-tin alloy, calcium or a calcium-lead alloy, cadmium or a cadmium-tin alloy, the other metals if used being added as such or as tin alloys and the tin and mercury being added last when the temperature is just above the melting point of lead. Bearings made of the alloy may be 1/32 - 1/16 inch thick, and may be coated with tin.
