A signal emphasis device sets initial values of parameter estimation values including: a reverberation parameter estimation value including a regression coefficient of a linear convolution calculation for calculating an estimated value of reverberation contained in an observation signal; an original signal parameter estimation value including estimated values of a linear prediction coefficient identifying an original signal power spectrum and a predicted residual power; and a noise parameter estimation value including an estimated value of a noise power spectrum. After this, the signal emphasis device alternately repeats a process to update, at least partially, the reverberation parameter estimation value and the noise parameter estimation value by the most likelihood estimation and a process to update the original signal parameter estimation value until a predetermined end condition is satisfied.
