<p>A sound collecting device capable of equally collecting the voices of the users even if the users sit in any seats of a meeting table having a rectangular shape. A speech meeting apparatus (1) generates sound collection beam signals by performing sound collection processing of the sound collection signals generated by a microphone array provided to the front and back of a long case (2). The sound collection processing imparts a sound collection directivity corresponding to the sound collection mode to the sound collection signals. From the sound collection beam signals, the speech meeting apparatus (1) generates a desired sound collection beam signal. For example, the speech meeting apparatus (1) generates a sound collection beam signal corresponding to the speech produced in the sound collection areas on both sides in the length direction of the case by performing delay processing in which the sound collection direction is the longitudinal direction of the case and generates a sound collection beam signal corresponding to the speech produced in the sound collection areas in front of and behind the apparatus (1) by performing delay processing in which the sound collection direction is the lateral direction of the case.</p> |
