Provided are a mounting member which produces a sufficient pressing force onto a ceiling having different plate thicknesses, a leaf spring and an illuminating device. A V-shaped leaf spring (1) is provided on one side thereof with a plurality of pressing portions (14, 16), each bending to project in a form of convex toward the other side and having an arcuate cross-section along the longitudinal direction of the leaf spring. By properly fixing the leaf spring (1) to the body of an illuminating device so that the bending portion (13) side becomes underside, any one of the plurality of pressing portions (14, 16) is abutted against a ceiling having different plate thicknesses from the upper side thereof when the body of the illuminating device is installed in a fixing hole provided in the ceiling, whereby a sufficient downward pressing force can be produced for the ceiling having different plate thicknesses and the mounting member can be fixed to the ceiling with a sufficient holding force.
