SYSTEM, METHOD AND CAPSULE FOR PREPARING A BEVERAGE

A capsule is provided for preparing a predetermined quantity of beverage suitable for consumption using an extractable product. The capsule includes a circumferential wall, a bottom closing the circumferential wall at one end and a lid closing the circumferential wall at the other end, opposite the bottom. The wall, bottom and lid enclose an inner space containing the extractable product. An entrance area is included in the bottom for supplying a fluid under pressure to the extractable product for preparing the beverage. An exit area is provided in the lid for draining the prepared beverage from the capsule. The entrance area of the capsule may comprise an entrance filter for supplying the fluid to the extractable product and/or the exit area may comprise an exit filter through which the beverage can drain from the capsule.
