The connector has a tubular body delimiting a channel, where the channel has a section for receiving an end of a pipe. The receiving section has a bushing (9) associated to a cam unit and expanded radially from an inactive state to active state. The bushing is introduced in the end of the pipe in inactive state, and placed against an internal surface of the end of the pipe in active state. The cam unit provokes radial expansion during engagement of the bushing in the end.
