The method involves positioning two consecutive buttresses (9) in a direction perpendicular to a mantle of a retaining wall or phonic shield, and sealing the buttresses in a cover strip (14), where the buttresses are presented in the form of panels with a height identical to a total height of the mantle. Horizontal elements e.g. flat slabs (11), are provided to form the mantle for retaining the land. The buttresses include notches on edges (13) of the buttresses. The notches are vertically spaced from a distance (10) to support the horizontal elements on the buttresses.
