The invention relates to a method and a device for electronically commutating a motor 2 comprising a stator having phase windings 6 and a rotor having at least two permanent magnets, the rotational angle position and rotational direction thereof being detected by a rotational angle sensor 1, and a corresponding rotational angle signal being fed to a signal processing unit 3. According to the detected rotational angle signal, a commutation time signal is generated by the signal processing unit 3 for controlling the stator phase currents acting on the phase windings 6. One or more state variables of the DC motor 2 are further detected, and corresponding state signals are fed to a commutation generation unit 9, and a second commutation time is generated by the commutation generation unit 9 according to the state signals. The first commutation time signal is forwarded below a certain speed of the rotor, and the second commutation time signal is forwarded above a certain speed of the rotor, for controlling the phase currents acting on the phase windings 6. |
