An imaging device includes: a tracking process unit which follows a tracking target in a frame image string according to an output signal of an imaging element; a tracking reliability evaluation unit which classifies reliability of tracking performed by the tracking process unit into a plurality of stages and evaluates the reliability according to the output signal of the imaging element; and a display unit which displays a frame image string. An icon to be tracked corresponding to the tracking target and a level icon indicating the evaluated reliability are displayed on a display screen. The reliability is classified into a plurality of stages by the level icons when displayed. The tracking target icon is expressed by using the same color as the tracking target color (color of the clothes).
