摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensing device capable of detecting a substance to be detected in a liquid sample. SOLUTION: The sensing device has an inspection chip constituted of a prism, a metal film and a substrate to which a flow channel is formed, a light source for emitting light, an incident light optical system for throwing the light emitted from the light source on the prism at an angle totally reflecting the light emitted from the light source by the boundary surface of the prism and the metal film, a light detection means for detecting the light emitted from the surface of the metal film, and a detection means for detecting the substance to be detected contained in the liquid sample on the basis of the detection result of the light detection means. The light detection means detects the light which is emitted from the surface of the metal film before the liquid sample is supplied as a first detection signal and further detects the light, which is emitted from the surface of the metal film becoming a dry state after the liquid sample is supplied, as a second detection signal and the detection means detects the substance to be detected on the basis of the difference between the second detection light and the first detection signal.
