PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of surely separating stacked sheets, and to improve an image forming device. SOLUTION: An image forming device 10 includes a stacking device 100 for stacking paper sheets, a separating device 200 for separating the paper sheets stacked on the stacking part 100 by supplying an air current, a feeding device 300 for feeding the paper sheet separated by the separating device 200 toward a downstream side in the conveying direction, a detecting device 400 for detecting separating condition of the paper sheets stacked on the stacking device 100, and a control device 500 which controls to change a position, in which the separating device 200 supplies an air current to the paper sheets stacked on the stacking device 100, in response to a result of the detection by the detecting device 400.
