PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner where dust captured by a filter can be easily removed, the dust and dust in a dust collecting part can be deodorized, and noise and power consumption due to deodorization can be reduced. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes an electrically operated dust removing device 33 for a filter 18 which separates dust having passed through a primary filter 15 from air by filtration, and exhaust circulation path, a deodorization device 31, and a controller 35. By guiding exhaust discharged from the discharge exit 11b of an electric blower 11 in the exhaust circulation path guiding the exhaust so as not to suck the exhaust through the filter 18, the dust removed from the filter 18 is moved to a dust collection chamber 16. The deodorization device 31 gives ozone which decomposes the smell of the dust, to the exhaust passing through an exhaust path part 1b extended from the exit 11b to the filter 18. The controller 35 performs control to stop the operation of the dust removing device 33 in the middle of circulation of the exhaust, and to continue the operation of the electric blower 11 and the deodorization device 31 also after this point of time.
