PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic endoscope capable of easily and rapidly performing examination for the analysis of troubles. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic endoscope 1 is constituted so that an imaging element and an ultrasonic vibrator are provided in the leading end part 2a of the insertion part 2 extended from an operation part 3 and a scope connector 5, which is provided with an amplifying substrate 52 for amplifying a vibrator signal, a detection substrate 53 for detecting quantity of rotation on the basis of the detection signal outputted from a rotation detector, the connector 8 for observing an ultrasonic image electrically connected to a control substrate 54 for controlling the driving of a rotary drive part and a connector 7 for observing an optical image, is provided in the base end part of the universal cord 4 extended from the operation part 3. Electric contacts 8b, 8c, 8d... for examination for detecting the electrical characteristics on the substrates, in a state that an electric signal for forming the ultrasonic image can be outputted from the connector 8 for observing the ultrasonic image, are provided in the scope connector 5.
