The dryer (1) has a drum (3) through which a heated air stream (21) flows to dry laundries and articles (9). A control device (15) influences a heating mechanism (6), and a blower (5) supplies the air stream. A sensor device detects a drying condition of the laundries and the articles in the drum. The sensor device has a fastener (10) with a sensor (11) and fastened to the laundries and the articles, where the fastener is formed to transmit sensor signals to the control device. Electrodes are arranged such that the electrodes contact a surface of the laundries and the articles. The fastener and/or fastener sides are made of plastic, and the electrodes are made of metal.
