A controller for a remote monitoring system is provided to monitor the temperature, moisture and situation of a monitoring spot accurately and to control each kind of device equipped in the monitoring spot. A power supply unit(20) receives power source from the outside and supplies the power to a monitoring unit, and an operational unit(30) is prepared in a center so that a person who is involved in the affair of the center may input a control command signal for controlling the monitoring unit. A controller(60) controls the monitoring unit according to the control command signal, and an interface unit(40) connects the controller to the operational unit and the monitoring unit.
