<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and method, suppressing non-smooth video displayed at n-times speed. <P>SOLUTION: The display device 100 includes: a display 40 including a plurality of pixels each including a plurality of sub-pixels; an acquisition unit 241 configured to acquire the number of sub-pixels corresponding to the amount of motion of a target image between a plurality of reference original frames which are referenced for generation of interpolated frames; an allocating unit 242 configured to allocate the number of sub-pixels acquired by the acquisition unit 241 to the interpolated frames in accordance with the order of the interpolated frames to be interposed between the plurality of reference original frames; and a generating unit 243 configured to generate the interpolated frames, depending on the number of sub-pixels allocated by the allocating unit 242. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
