EL DISPLAY PANEL, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND DRIVE METHOD OF EL DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL display device for compatibly achieving cost reduction and image quality.

SOLUTION: The EL display panel corresponding to an active matrix drive system is loaded with: (a) a pixel circuit provided at least with a drive transistor for pulling in a drive current from a fixed power line and supplying it to an EL display element, a holding capacitor connected between the gate electrode and source electrode of the drive transistor and a sampling transistor for controlling the write of a signal potential to the holding capacitor; (b) a capacitance control line in common to all the pixel circuits; (c) a coupling capacitor respectively arranged between the anode electrode of the EL display element and the capacitance control line; and (d) a pulse voltage source for rising the potential of the capacitance control line from a low potential to a high potential and lowering it to the lower potential after a fixed period after the rising.
