PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the acoustic characteristics of a flat panel speaker. SOLUTION: The flat panel speaker 100 has a diaphragm 110 provided with an excitator which is not shown, and a duct 120 is arranged on the rear side of the diaphragm 110. The duct 120 is constituted, by arranging many thin and long tubes and arranged with a gap G from the diaphragm 110. The periphery of the duct 120 is covered with a seal material 140 made of a sponge-like rubber material. In the constitution, a sound wave S radiated from the diaphragm 110 travels rectilinearly to the rear B side so that the sound wave S is prevented from wrapping around the lower side of the surface, and the acoustic characteristics are improved.
